In the past year, this group has grown tremendously. The anime adaption of Peacemaker and Peacemaker Kurogane already grows ten years old this year and it would be a huge understatement to claim that the frequency of releases for the Peacemaker Kurogane manga is irregular. But still, all of you prove that there are still fans left who hold onto this fandom and I think that's wonderful. A little more than a year has passed now since *
pergamjee and I have taken over the administration over this group and I believe that now is the right time to start a contest.
The theme
As mentioned in a previous journal entry, we were looking for a theme. I'd like to express my gratitude to everyone who suggested a topic! There were many good suggestions among them. The theme I decided for is
to protect. It was suggested by *
pergamjee's sister to whom I'd like to say thank you once more. The topic can be interpreted in different ways, e.g.
(a) to protect a person/persons, such as a loved one, a mentor, a disciple, a colleague, people of a town/village, etc.
(b) to protect an ideal, a principle
(c) to protect a custom, a tradition, a way of life, an era
...or maybe something entirely different? Everything you can think of is fine as long as it fits the headline of the contest!
Deadline
You may submit your entries from now on up until August 31st.
Contest judges
The contest will be judged by the following deviants:

Each of us is an avid Peacemaker enthusiast and will judge the entries at their best abilities.
Prizes
We're still looking for prize donations! If you'd like to donate something, we would be more than happy. You're still welcome to enter the contest if you donate. You can donate stuff like points, features or free commissions.
Please feel free to decline prizes that demand your postal address to be sent to you if you feel uncomfortable with giving your personal information away.

Contest rules

Submissions go into the contest folder

You're allowed to use any visual medium you want, in any style. That means you can submit digital or traditional artworks, cosplay photos, crafts, dolls, anything! No fanfiction though. I am sorry but I don't feel capable of reasonably judging written work in comparison to visual artwork. I guess that won't be a problem though since we haven't had any literary deviations in this group yet anyway.

You can add OCs but they mustn't outnumber the canon characters in your picture. Let me give you this piece of advice though: As a judge, it might be difficult to fully understand the concept behind your artwork when one doesn't know all of the characters involved.

No deviations that require a mature filter

The submission must be your own work! And please don't use copyrighted material. Using references is ok but if you rely on references very much please state the source(s) in the description

You must be a member of this group to join the contest

Members of the jury are not allowed to join (obviously)

You can submit as many entries as you want. You can only win one prize, though

You must submit your entry to the contest folder and state in the description that it is an entry for this contest

Your are not allowed to submit an old deviation. Please submit something fresh and new, done especially for the contest since it's more fun for everyone if the contest entries are something we haven't seen before

You must state somewhere in the deviation description that the artwork is a contest entry for this group
That's it on my side. I am looking forward to all of your entries!
